Important Vendor Information
Medieval Mayhem Renaissance Faire has hosted an educational day event for many years. Known as "DiVinci Day", it takes place on our opening day (Friday) and has been very successful. We allow children ages 17 and under to enter for free for the first two hours of the day (12-2 pm) with a paid adult. We distribute "treasure maps" at the entry gate for kids to complete throughout the day. On the map are artisans & groups that provide educational demonstrations and lessons for children. The maps are marked by the artisans/groups, and the completed maps are returned to the front gate, where the kids receive a pouch of "pirate coins". They then "shop" at the vendor booths that display the "Pirate Coin's Accepted Here" signs that we provide.
We ask vendors to come up with an item they are willing to trade for the pirate coins so the kids can spend them at the event. The purpose of this goes beyond just a kids' activity. It encourages parents to stay on-site longer, and we find that adults are more willing to purchase from vendors who give items to their children. Participation is entirely voluntary. You will receive a "Pirate Coins Accepted Here" sign to display in your booth in your vendor check-in envelope. Simply put it out on Friday, remove it at the end of the day, and return it to us in your envelope with the coins before you load out on Sunday or Monday.
We also hold a cast potluck dinner on Friday and Sunday nights. Bring a dish (not required to join) and enjoy the fun and laughter, and help build the bonds that have created the Mayhem family. Again, entirely voluntary.

City Business Permit (We recommend that vendors who return year after year apply for a City of Show Low Business Permit. The cost is $25 for the initial permit and $10 a year for renewal. This permit allows you to work at any event in the City of Show Low without submitting your personal and TPT licence information every time. You will submit the permit number for our event every year.)
